The charts give information about the number of honey-bee colonies and how much production honey bee that was produced by United State for 40 years.
Overall, the number of bee colonies and the amount of honey production went down from 1970 to 2010.
The number of bee colonies was 4 million in 1970. And this increased slightly at average 0.2 million in 1980. For the next 3 decades, the number of colonies decreased sharply around 0.5 million – 2 million each decade. At the end of rank years, the American bee colonies were 18 million left in 2010.
The pattern of honey production was nearly similar to the number of bee colonies, in which its yield dropped for the last 30 years. United States produced 130.000 tons honey in 1970; it was larger than next periods. This felt down at 110.000 tons in 1980, but 10 years later the production of honey rose to 120,000 tons. In the following years, the production of honey decreased as many as 20.000 tons in 2000. At the end, US only produced no more than70.000 tons honey.
