Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their own ideas( in words, pictures, music or film) in whichever way they wish. There should be no government restrictions on what they do.
Some people hold firmly to the belief that there must not be any government restrictions for creative artists for sharing and expressing their ideas and the environment of freedom should be made for them. I strongly believe agree with this conception and I will try to explain my viewpoint below.
First of all, artists have played an important role in all societies and they have always made a significant contribution to shaping of thinking. It is undoubtedly accepted that if governments make any interventions of the expressing ideas of artists people will not create something new, innovative and creative.Artists must work freely without carrying out restrictions by governments.
In addition, if the governments applies limitations on artists' work it will be against the human rights and democracy. Nowadays, myriad governments try to preserve democratic conditions in their country. Furthermore, arts can be one way to criticize some social issues as well as governments policies. They can draw a public attention to some existing environmental and social problems. For instance, in 1989, the king of the pop Michael Jackson released his new song "We are the world" for gathering people to tackle some problems and his song became famous quickly. From that time, it has been the song of friendship, peace and unity.
However,I can accept that freedom can create harmful effects. Sometimes, artist lose their control and produce pornographic films, racial songs and provocative caricatures.
To sum it up, taking account of all factors, despite despite of some negative effects giving freedom to creative artists must be provided by governments.
