Many students prefer to take part-time rather than full-time courses. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this method for the students?
Nowadays knowledge seems to be essential for each individual. One way to gain this knowledge is attending universities and take some courses in a specific field. In most of the universities you can choose part-time or full-time method according your situation. There are some pros and cons for each of these methods which are mentioned bellow.
Undoubtedly, taking a full-time course by a student seems to be the best choice. This way students can focus accurately on their lessons without any distraction. Although they can finish their course in a shorter time in comparison with those students who choose part-time course method, they’ll miss the opportunity to take part in society by having a part-time job.
On the other hand, paying for the university tuition is a burden for many families, so a large number of students prefer to work and study at the same time in order to help their families with their expenses. This way they can gain job experiences and social activities beside their university education. Moreover, If they can find a job which is related to their education they will be an expert in their field of study but the distraction and lack of focus on their lessons is one of the negative points in this educational method.
In conclusion, both methods are good depending on different situations. Making a good choice can be beneficial for a student and it may be different for one person from another one.
