The table and the bar illustrate about traveling to work in one of the city in Texas, named Houston. It refers to the percentage of people using a number of transport and carbon dioxide for each.
The table shows that the common means of transport are cars, which private is the most common, on average 48%. Travellers using cycle and walking have the least common. It is just 4%. In term of age, the inhabitants using train are 47 years old which are the highest average age. Cyclists and pedestrians have the lowest average age, 8 years younger than the highest average age.
Cars contribute much, in term of CO2 emissions. Upper 0.3 kilograms per person per kilometre puts private car in the highest rate. The second highest rate is sharing car with approximately 0.08 kilograms. However, cyclists and pedestrians do not contribute any pollution.
Overall, cars with just driver are the most common means of transport and cause more pollution than another means of transport combined. On the other hand, cycling or walking are preferable if they commit to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
