Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Should universities accept equal number of male and female students in every subject? This is the question we need to answer. I disagree with this statement, so this essay will have a deeper look to disadvantages, rather than advantages of it.
Firstly, students who decided to be hard workers and have a better education, won’t focus on number of male or female students at their class, they’ll only pay attention to their studies. Secondly, let’s suppose a country which has a majority of females, rather than males. So, according to the statement, students who graduated university might have not suitable education for them. It’s not fair. And thirdly, if universities would accept an equal number of male and female students, it won’t be useful foe university itself. Equal number of opposite sex students can lead to a big competition between them. So university could become not a place where people study, but a place where students compete.
On the other hand, this has only one advantage. Universities which accept equal number of male and female students might be aimed to graduate that type of students, who would be really hard working at their future, because he/she didn’t pay attention to boys/girls during their studies.
In conclusion, I don’t think that universities should accept equal number of male and female students, because preferences of men and women are not the same.
