When a country develops its technology, its traditional ways of life and skills die out.It is pointless to keep them alive? Do you agree or disagree with it?
There is no denying the fact that changes occur in national life as it develops in its technology.Traditional ways get a set back in this case.An attempt to keep them alive is a controversial matter and becomes debatable.Although it is painful to see cultures dying as we all humans have intense emotional bond with culture and tradition but the stark reality has to be accepted that world is a stage of flux and change.
Firstly, with developing technology, many old ways of life vanish by themselves. In this case, it is rather a necessity than an option for the people to abandon them. For example,in many traditions bon fires from wood served people to celebrate merry occasions and even dead bodies were consigned to fire to dispose them during funerals.Since forests have dwindled to great extent,it is no more available in large amounts and as such alternatives have to be used such as electricity instead of wood and thermal chambers to burn dead bodies.
In other ways,it is left to the discretion of the people depending on various factors. In the matter of sports for instance, people in ancient days derived pleasure by employing animals to fight each other. Now it is regarded a cruel form of sports. It is losing appeal and even sensitive people protest against such practices.
Awareness to avoid wastage and lead an economical life has also contributed to stop traditional ways of life.A spinning wheel, once a traditional symbol and asset to all homes is no more in use because it can not serve the needs on mass consumption of clothes in its function in manufacturing fabrics.Since more effective tools and equipment is available,it would be waste of time, money and labor in using them.
On the whole, weighing all the considerations above and keeping the facts of changing world order, traditions have to give way to new ways of life so that the fact remains life is a matter of evolution.Merely being emotional to the loss of traditions cannot change the fact of life.
