The diagram compares the use of telephone which was divided into three different categories from 1995 to 2002 in the UK.
It is can be observed that in the first period of 1995, UK Telephone calls of Local – fixed line stood at 70 billion minutes and rose slightly to reach the maximum at approximately 90 billion minutes. However, this upward trend was gradually declined over the next 3 month to reach nearly 70 billion minutes in 2002. Compared to another two categories, both of them had the similar upward trend with the different figures. The telephone calls of national and international – fixed line was initially stood at above 30 billion minutes and steadily increased until the end of period. As is considerably smaller amount than another categories, in 1995, the figures of Mobiles just below 10 billion minutes, after which rose steadily and remained constant until 2002.
Ultimately, although the use of telephone of Local – fixed line shows fluctuated trend, however, the quantity reached relatively higher of the two. In contrast to the figures for the other categories which was lower amount, the number of National and International – fixed line and Mobiles – all calls phone rose steadily since the beginning until the end of period.
