The diagrams below show two method of collecting water for irrigation purposes. Summarize the information by selecting ad reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant
The diagrams compare two different ideas to fetch water for irrigation process. Although the second method is more complicated if compared to the first method, the rope and bucket ideas can fetch water from deeper source.
Both of the methods are different as those are depending on a depth of water sources. The water source of the swing basket method is shorter than the water source of the rope and bucked method. The depth of the first idea is only one to two meters, while the depth of the second idea is up to 50 meters. Therefore, the second method needs pulley and roles to fetch water in the bucket. However, the first method uses ropes and basket which is made from bamboo or leather. In any case, while swing basket needs people involvement, a cow plays a role in the process of rope and bucket method.
Then, the process of fetching water between ‘A’ and ‘B’ method is completely different. In the ‘A` method, water in the basket is collected by two people who use two ropes. Following this, the water is sent to fields of irrigation channels. Even though, in the ‘B’ method, water in the bucket is pulled out by a cow which is moving the rollers in a slope. After that, the water is collected in irrigation channels beside the source of the water.
Interestingly, an animal involvement is needed for rope and bucket styles as the water source is deeper if compared to another style. However, swing basket style needs two people involvement, while the water source is shallower.
