The line graph illustrates How many of km3 of water is utilized by three different areas between 1900 and 2000. The table provides information about the citizens,irrigated land and water consumption of two various regions.
It is clear that, the share of km3 of water that is used by sectors was on an upward trend. It is obvious from the table, the share of population, irrigated land and water consumption in Brazil is by far the highest.
According to the line graph, in 1990, the proportion of km3 of water that is used by agriculture sector stood at only 500 km3. The figures for Industrial use and domestic use were not near as high as that of agriculture use, each at almost 100 km3. From 1990 to 2000, the figure for agriculture use rose substantially to just under 3000 km3, with that of industrial use reaching to just over 100 km3 of at the end of the period. Finally, after remaining fairly constant over 60 years, the share of km3 of water which is used by domestic field increased gradually to 300 km3.
According to the table, the share of population in Brazil headed the list, at 176 million, with the figure for Democratic Republic of Congo accounting for 5.2 million. The proportion of irrigated land in Brazil is on the top of the list, at 26.500 km2, while the one in the other country is considerably higher than that of Brazil, at 100 km2. Only 359 m2 of water is consumed by Brazil, whereas 8 m2 of water is represented by Democratic Republic of Congo.
