The dynamic line graph compares the amount of kilometers made by a population using five different means of transports (car, air, rail, coach, ferry) in one country over five separate years.
From an overall perspective, a much larger number of kilometers has been made in train and car in comparison with air, coach and ferry. Rail experienced the fastest growth from 1989 to 2009.
To begin with, car, planes and ferry knew a downward trend between 1989 and 2009. The use of air transport plummeted sharply from 35 to around 20 kilometers. There was a much smaller plunge for car : the kilomet...
