In the second phrase of improvement, there was an introduction of a pharmacy and a cancer building. While the shopping centre and the farmland were demolished the hospital and the carpark were remained unchanged. The shopping centre changed into pharmacy and a cancer building whereas the farmland has replaced by the nursing school.
In the last phrase of improvement on Queen Mary Hospital, all the buildings have remained same but the size has modified. Even though, the hospital and pharmacy had unchanged in size, car park and nursing school have showed a reduction in size. In comparison, the cancer centre showed the dramatic expansions as it tripled in size.
