The maps show that Stokeford village saw a number of important changes during a period of 80 years.
Overall, it is evident that the number of homes expanded significantly while the agricultural fields disappeared. The lone road that cut through the center of Stokeford village had a few buildings on either side in 1930. By 2010, just the Post Office survived of the neighborhood businesses. Residential sections were built on the two farmlands that were to the village's north-east and south-west. In the same time frame, further roadways were constructed that led off the main road and provided access to more houses. Along the primary road, housing was also expanded.
In addition, two extra blocks were added to the neighborhood primary school across from the post office. In 1930, the village's center was its gardens, but by 2010, more homes had been constructed there, and a big mansion inside the grounds had been expanded to serve as a retirement home.
