Looking at the graph, it is readily apparent that the financial industry has taken the lion’s share of the country’s economy with consistent growth, whilst others are predicted to decrease in the future.
By the beginning of the period shown, the economic income from finance, food processing and fossil fuels underwent a rise with growths of approximately 5% for the two former and about 10% for the latter. In contrast, there was a downturn in both tourism and construction with falls of around 5% for the first 10 years period.
Turning next to the projected figures for 2025, only the financial segment is forecast to experience a continued upswing, accounting for merely 41%. However, the tourism sector remains the same as the figures recorded in 2015 while both food processing and fossil fuel stay at 2009 levels with around 11% and 26%, respectively. In comparison, construction see a sharp drop in its rate, falling by a further 10% to 5%.
