The chart depicts the approximate percentage of car trips taken by drivers of both genders( men and women) for 8 different purposes( courses, visiting town, bank, running errands, visiting friends, recreation, work and shopping) in 2005.
In overall, most people drove on car trips to work and the least people drove to visit their friends. Both men and women drove, albeit for their own purposes, in the year 2005.
About 15% of women drove to shopping, but only 10% of men did that. Other than that, women drove more than men for the following purposes: to attend courses, for bank visits, running errands and visiting friends, each of them around 10%.
However, men drove to work more than women( around 0% versus approximately 40%). About 10% of car trips taken by men are for recreational purposes, but only 5% of car trips taken by women were. Men visited town more frequently than women( about 10% versus 5% ) .
