the UK who used the Internet every day from 2003-2006
The bar chart compares the usage of Internet in percentage for 4 different age groups in UK on their daily basis over the period from 2003 to 2006.
Overall, Internet becomes less popular as age increase however, in each group there was a growth in the percentage of Internet users over the period described. Additionally, Internet is accessed most by people aged 16 to 24.
In 2003, 80% of 16-to24-year-olds was recorded to use Internet. This number is much lower for groups aged 25-44 and 45-54 which are nearly 50% and 45% respectively while users aged 55-64 was just one-third compared to those in the original year while there was no statistics of usage for the oldest group.
During the remainder of the 3-year period, the slightly increase was seen in the youngest group which reached peak of 90% in 2005. The second youngest and the 55-64 group shared the same pattern over the period with 10% and 5% increased each year respectively. With middle-aged people, the proportion of them using the Internet climbed to 60% before falling to 55% in 2006, followed by senior citizens whose Internet usage was always under 15%.
