Presented for consideration is the bar chart comparing the proportion of Australian females and males in specific age groups doing regular physical activity in the year 2010.
It can be seen that physical activity was popular with males in 15-24 age group the most, while it gained more attention of 45-54 women. In general, the percentage of males exercising regular basis was lower than the figure for women.
According to the data of the chart, the 15-24 age group was the only age group that the rate of men practicing physical activity was higher than the percentage of women. When it comes to the 25-34 age group, the proportion of males decreased to 42, 2%, which was lower than the figure for women (48. 9%).
In regard to 35-64 age group, the percentage of men doing regular physical activity increased gradually to 45. 1% compared with the proportion of females was always over 50%. Especially, men and women aged 65 or older who did regular physical activity accounted for a similar percentage, at around 47%.
