The bar chart below shows the sector contribution to India's gross domestic product from 1960to 2000

The bar graph illustrates about the contribution of different sectors to India's gross domestic product which started from 1996 till 2000. The source of information is EPW Research Foundation.
First of all, in 1960, it is clear by analysing the bar that , the proportion of agriculture sector (60%) was higher as compared to another, that was industry (15%) and services (16%). Moreover, during 1970, agriculture sector was slightly came down with 52% , but their percentage was once more greater than another two, which were almost similar (20% and 22%). Furthermore, again agronomy was higher in proportion, however decreased with little (45%).
On contrast, the proportion of service industries became higher in 1990 (45%) in comparison to agriculture (31%) and production sector (25%). In 2000, the GDP of service sector significantly increased with 62%. On the other hand, agriculture sector became lower (12%), but management became similar to past year (25%).
Overall, agriculture sector played higher role during first year and service industries were in last year in the contribution of India's gross domestic product from 1960 to 2000.
