In an overview, it can be seen that majority of the countries are producing more electric energy than they consume in the year 2014. China is the highest producer as well as consumer of the electricity whereas Korea Republic consumed and produced the least amount of electricity. China's production and consumption is almost five times more than that of other compared nations except the USA.
Among these nations, United States has the largest difference between their utilization (3,866 billion kWh) and production (4,099 billion kWh) of electricity. Germany is the only Country who consumed (582.5 billion kWh) more than they produced (526.6 billion kWh). Russia's electricity production and consumption is almost equal with least difference between 1,057 and 1,038 billion kWh respectively. Brazil with 455.8 billion kWh is the second lowest consumer of electricity but according to its production (530.7 billion kWh), it ranks the third lowest.
