The figure elucidates the rate of individuals who ate five portions of healthy foods per day in the UK between 2001 and 2008. At first glance, it is evident that all aspects faced a moderate drop in the end of the period.
To begin with, there was a dramatic upsurge in the number of females who ate vegetables and fruits in which it, initially, stood at just above a fifth and achieved approximately at a third in 2006. Unfortunately, it plummeted considerably, soaring to three-tenths by the end of period shown.
In contrast, the percentage of the consumption for males remained stable for the first three years. Afterwards, it uplifted tremendously from 2003, which made up at just above 15%, through to 2006, which made up at just over a fourth, and erratically, over the following 2 years, it plummeted moderately to just below the previous time. Following the same pattern as males, 2001 to 2008 witnessed a fluctuation of juveniles consumption of healthy foods in which it upright positioned at just over a tenth in 2001 and terminated to 1 in 4 in 2008.
