The graphic illustrates the number of hours in which teenagers in Chester spent on seven activities each week over a 6-year period of time, from 2002 to 2007. Overall, the time for going to pubs and discos, watching TV and shopping was on the increase while the time for doing homework, doing sports and bowling was otherwise and there was a minor fluctuation in watching DVDs over the given period.
It is noticed that watching TV was the most popular activity which rose from 25 hours in 2002 to 40 in 2007, an almost double growth. Both going to pubs and shopping had a slight increase of 10 hours and 9 hours and made a total of 18 and 15 in 2007 respectively. On the other hand, adolescents in Chester devoted much less time to doing homework which started at 10 hours in 2002 and declined to 7 in 2007, doing sports which took up only 2 hours in the last year from the beginning of 10, and especially bowling which stayed under 5 hours through the entire span of time.
And lastly, watching DVDs activity had the same number of hours spent in 2002 and in 2007 which was 10 after reaching a peak of nearly 17 hours in 2004.
