The bar graph gives information about how many people per year visited three London Museums over half of a decade, from 2007 onward.
At the first glance, it is clear that National Gallery and British museums attracted the largest spectators in 2012 though Victoria and Albert Museum was more popular in early year.
As the data suggests, in 2007, the number of visitors to Victoria and Albert Museum was by far the highest, at about 13 million, while that of National Gallery and British Museum was at 6 and 12 mil respectively. During the next three years, Victoria and Albert Museum experienced a significant fall to just over 6 million in terms of spectator’s number in 2010. From then on, this figure increased gradually to 10 million.
In the period from 2007 to 2008, there was a dramatic decrease to 6 million in the figure for tourists to British Museum. This figure remained unchanged in 2009, but this then inclined noticeably to less than 15 million in 2012. On the other hand, National Gallery witnessed a steady growth to 16 million in the number of visitors in 2012, which became the most popular museum in UK for visitors at the end of the period.
