In general, country D witnessed the highest percentage of young people following higher education in all 3 years while the opposite was true for country B. In addition, a sharp growth was seen in figures for both country A and D through the period.
In 2000, the percentage of young students participating in higher education in country A was about 35%, which was comparatively lower than that in country D, at 45%. Despite an upward trend 10 years later in 2 countries, the rate of young citizens in higher education in country D still exceeded that in country A, with respective figures being 60% and 56%.
Country B underwent a slight fluctuation in the proportion of young people who joined higher education which averaged around 40% throughout the period. Meanwhile, about 42% was reported to be the rate of young people enrolling in higher education in country C in the first year of the period and this figure went up slightly to 45% in 2005. 5 years later, the percentage of young individuals following higher education maintained the same level as it used to be in 2005, at 45%.
