The given bar chart illustrates the proportion of youngsters in four different countries taking part in higher education programs in three years including 2000, 2005 and 2010.
In general, it is apparent that the figure for the young joining higher education in country D was the highest, whereas the lowest proportion recorded was that of country B. It is also noteworthy that the percentage of young people participating in higher education in country A and D increased gradually while those of the remaining nations fluctuated.
36% of youngsters in country A attended upper education in 2000. The year 2005 witnessed a steady rise to approximately 48% before a growth to 58% was recorded at the end of the period. A similar pattern was seen in the figure for country D, which was 60% in 2000 then rose to 65% in 2005 before it underwent a sharp increase to a peak of 80% in 2010.
In contrast, the figures for the too remaining countries stayed relatively constant during the given period. Despite its slight drop from 40% to 38% in 2005, the percentage of young people joining higher education in country B climbed to the initial level in 2010. On the other hand, that of country C increased slightly from 50% to 52% in 2005 and stayed unchanged until the end of the time frame.
