The bar charts below show the number of hours each teacher spent teaching in different schools in four different countries in 2001

The given graph illustrates the number of teaching hours per educator on three schooling levels in Japan, Spain, Iceland, and the USA in 2011.

As can be seen from the graph, all four countries increased teaching hours of every single teacher following the levels in the school. The USA particularly witnessed the highest figures in all three levels of the school.
Regarding the primary level, each USA teacher spent the most number of hours at about 750 hours while the figures in other countries experienced almost the same number by 650, 600 and 580 hours in Spain, Japan, and Iceland respectively.

A lower secondary teacher in Iceland only taught 600 hours which was two-thirds of this figure in the USA (at 1000 hours). In addition, the number of teaching hours by a teacher in Japan and Spain were 650 and 750 hours.

Turning to the upper secondary level, the USA held the first place of the number of teaching hours each educator at approximately 1190 hours, whereas the figure in Japan was the lowest by only 700 hours. Each upper secondary teacher in Iceland taught the same number of hours as in Spain at about 900 hours.
