The diagrams depict the duration of time a teacher spent at three school levels in four nations in 2001.
At first glance, the USA teachers had the highest proportion of teaching time when Japanese teachers in the opposite with the lowest data. On the other hand, Iceland had a primary and lower secondary teaching time lower than the four countries in the same period.
First and foremost, the primary and the upper secondary school had the teaching hours bottom in at Iceland approximately 600 hours and 610 hours. Meanwhile, UAS hit the highest point respectively at primary school with 780 hours and upper secondary school 1000 hours.
During the same period, teaching hours in lower secondary schools had an upward trend. The highest figure was in the USA with nearly 1200 hours and the lowest was in Japan with 700 hours. Spain and Iceland got the same data and rose gradually at 900 and 910 hours.
