Overall, what stands out is that the highest percentage of usage is reported by 16 to 30-year-olds, whereas the least is by the young with the age of 15 or less.

With regard to statistics, the most substantial use of internet facilities is contributed by people of age from 16 to 50. Figures for the year 1998 for groups 16 to 30 and 31 to 50 age are 53% and 41% respectively. In addition, although their usage was high it dropped by nearly 10 percent to reach 44 % for adults, and for the age group 31 to 50 it slipped to 37 percent in 2000.

In contrast, the numbers for the age group of less than 15 and the elderly are the lowest constituting of 2 and 4 percent in 1998. However, in 1999 the figures for the former quadrupled to reach 8%, the latter doubled to the same, which remained nearly unchanged for the following year.
