Overall, it is clear that most residents in five cities preferred hanging out to drink two beverages rather than buying fresh or instant coffee, apart from Adelaide where drinking instant coffee was a bit more prevalent.
In Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart the proportion of city residents visiting a café for coffee and tea in the last 4 weeks was highest, with around 65%, while that in Adelaide had the lowest percentage, making up just below 50%. The figure for Brisbane was almost 55%.
As for the habits of purchasing coffee, instant coffee was more chosen than fresh one in all five cities. In Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart the figures for the former were more than that for the latter, with 15% or over.
