Cambridge IELTS 14 - Test 4 - Task 1 (Map)

The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pictures illustrate the transformation of the Grange Park from 1920 to today.

Look at the pictures, it is obvious that significant changes have been taken in this park. Overall, with the rearrangement of sitting areas, it allows people to have a good place to relax and enjoy all constructions of the park.

In the middle of the park, a fountain is replaced by a rose garden surrounded by seats, which were scattered around the park in 1920. To the west of it, an amphitheatre for concerts is rebuilt from the stage for musicians and there is a disappearance of the rose garden on south-west of the park.

On the north-east of the park, a café and a children’s play area are reconstructed from the rose garden and the pond for water plant respectively. On the south-east of the park, the glass house has been turned into a water feature.
