It's important to note that over the period, the global sales of games software and DVD/video had risen significantly, while the proportion for CDs had declined slightly.
Starting from about 12 and 17 billion dollars on 2000, the global vend for games software and DVD/video began to increase significantly to 15 and 21 billions on 2001. The proportions continued to rise until it finally reached 18 and 31 billons dollar on 2003. In terms of rise, it can be acknowledged that the global revenue of DVD/video rocketed, while the sales of games software was moderately increasing.
In contrast, the proportion for CD had slightly decreased from about 45 billion dollars to 42 billion dollars between the period of 2000 and 2002. The proportion then remained unchanged for a year later. Despite the soar of DVD/video's sale and the moderate increase of games software's revenue, yet the CDs' sale remained the highest over the long period.
