It is crystal clear from the graph, the urban population growth showed rapid increase during 1950 to 2000. Moreover, the population will further increase in the year 2030, in all the parts of the world. In case of Africa, the percentage of urban population increase in 1950 was around 11% and as much as 39%in the year 2000. The urban population growth for Asia was about 15% in 1950 and as much as 57% in 2000. The growth of urban population for Latin America was 41% in 1950 and as high as 70% in the year 2000. In case of the whole world, population if towns and cities raised by 30% in the year 1950 and about 48% in the year 2000.
Hence, it can be concluded that Africa, Asia and Latin America showed rapid increase in the growth of urban population from the year 1950 to 2000. Moreover, according to the graph this upward trend will continue in the future too.
