The chart below gives information about how families in one country spent their weekly income in 1968 and in 2018 Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

From the chart of average weekly spending by families in 1968 and 2018, we can not only find the great changes in the outcome of families in this country, but also the lifestyle improvements of them.

In 1968, families took 35% of their weekly income to purchase food which took the most of a family member's weekly salary. Then housing and clothing, as well as footwear, took 10% each of that. As for purchasing a household, and personal goods, they took less than 10%. For transportation and leisure spending, they were approximately 8% and 9%. the lowest spending was on fuel and power.

As time went into 2018, things changed a lot. First and foremost, the money spent on food was reduced to about 17% of the average weekly income which was only half of that in 1968. It was also noticeable that the families would pay more money on Leisure since it was 22% of that income which doubled compared with that in 1968. Moreover, there was an increase in housing purchasing, rising to 19%, which was nearly two times that 50 years ago. There was also another increase in transport which took 14%. The money on household goods equalized that in 1968. However, we can find that in 2018 the money taken on clothing and footwear as well as personal goods saw a declining just half of that in 1968.

In general, we can find people in this country will spend more money on spiritual life than basic life necessities.
