The bar chart details how did families in one country spend their weekly revenue in 1968 and 2018.
Overall, the amount of money spend on food, fuel and power, clothing and foot ware, and personal goods decreased, that for housing, transport, and leisure experienced a reserved trend.
In 1968, the percentage of families' weekly income spent on food was 35%, which was the highest among all categories. Earning expended on housing increased from 10% in 1968 to around 19% in 2018. The year 2018 witnessed a slight decrease in the percentage of money allocated for fuel and power, from 6% to 4%. The percentage of expenditure on clothing and footwear in 1968 was more significant than in 2018, at 10% and 5% respectively. Families’ spent weekly revenue on household goods remained around more than 5% from 1968 to 2018. The proportion of expenses on personal goods in 2018 accounted for 4%, which is lower than that in 1968. Weekly income allocated for both transport and leisure observed a dramatic rise.
