The bar chart compares the data about how the Britons aged 25-34 are housed an accommodation between 2004 and 2014.
Overall, one can see that proportion of tenants was on the increase, whereas home owners experienced a downward trend throughout a period.
Over a time frame, proprietary rate declines substantially. In 2004, the rate of home ownership reached a peak , with a rise of just under 60%. In the subsequent years , proportion of the British who owned a house went down considerably over a decade. Although there were some insignificant rises in 2007 and 2012 , the home ownership rate dropped by over a third.
In comparison, over a 10-year-period tenants in the UK climbed dramatically. According to the chart, from 2004 to 2014 the rate of renters went up 20% to nearly 50% respectively. Between the years 2011 and 2012 the percentage of rental housing remained steady .
