The bar chart below illustrates how British people from 25 to 34 housed between 2004 and 2014.
Overall, the majority of them were home owners. However, there was a gradual fall in the number of whom have a house, whereas the number of renters rose significantly over an eleven-year period.
In 2004, almost 60% of people who have their house owned, as opposed to exactly 20% of who have to rent. By contrast, there was a slight fall in the rate of house owners, for about 40% in 2014, whereas the number of renters went up for about 50%, as twice as that in 2004.
Between 2011 and 2012, the rate of house owners and renters remained the same and unchanged, both are above 40%. It was a stable pattern.
