The bar chart provides percentage-wise data about the most popular sport activities among New Zealand residents in 2002, split by gender.
They were categorized into nine group in which swimming, soccer and netball were the most popular activities among New Zealanders albeit males had a wider range of desires them the female one.
To begin with, while only 5% of the girls showed the eagerness for soccer, it had the first priority for boys, about a quarter. However, by a bit over, that one for the girls was netball. It was the least favorite field for the males by a tiny fraction whereas cricket has the same condition for the females where over one-ten of the boys attended to. Swimming was the second sport on which 22% of the girls spent time.
According to the graph, basketball, tennis and Athletics showed no substantial differences between the girls and boys, with the figures around 7%, 6% and 4% in turn. The boys appealed to martial arts and other sorts of sport more than the other sex, by 6% and 8% difference.
