The bar chart demonstrates how much leisure time was enjoyed by males and females at different employment status in 1 year from 1998 to 1999.
Overall, men had more hours of free time per week than woman in three of the employment categories. It is clear that in the two remaining categories, only figures for women are shown - employed part time and housewives.
Unemployed and retired people of both genders enjoyed the same highest amount of free time with approximately 85 hours and 75 hours for men and women respectively. In addition, at the employed full time group, over 50 hours are spent for leisure by men weekly, while women spent less hours for free time, at nearly 40.
At the remaining employment groups, housewives female individuals enjoyed 50 hours of free time, slightly higher than those who were employed part time, who had just over 40 leisure hours weekly. There are no figures for men in either of these categories.
