Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

The bar chart illustrates how much spare time during a typical week by genders of five categories of employment status from 1998 to 1999.

Overall, males who were employed full time, unemployed or retired enjoy more free time than females in the same status, while in part time employed and housewives, only women had leisure time.

Among the full time employed, males enjoyed nearly 50 hours per week, which was slightly higher than females, who had just 40 hours. There was an equal time span of unemployed and retired males, this statistic was also true in terms of females. Moreover, both men and women in unemployed and retired categories had the highest span of free time, which were approximately 85 hours and 75 hours respectively.

Housewives enjoyed 50 hours of leisure time per week, a little more than women who were employed part time, who had just over 40 hours per week. There were no figures for men in either of these categories.
