The given combination of a bar chart and line graph illustrates the information regarding expenditure of money on fast food every weekend Britain and depicts the trend in consumption of fast food namely hamburgers, pizza, fish and chips from 1970 to 1990.
As is observed in the bar chart, hamburger is the most favourite food item among people with high income that is more than one-fourth and average with just between 35% and 30% while low income persons mostly prefer fish and chips with about a little less than 20%. Moreover, a quarter of individuals in the section of the average income and approximately 17% people in high income category like to spend money for fish and chips. About 15% of people in the last category consumed hamburger. Approximately 20%, 12% and 8% like pizza in the section of high income, average income and low income respectively.
Moving forward to line graph, consumption of fish and chipps was highest in 1917 with about 300 grams which decreased gradually to 200 grams only until 1985. The hamburgers and pizza were very less popular in 1970 with consumption of less than 100 grams however this showed an inclining trend until the last year with about 300 grams of pizza and more than 500 grams of hamburger in 1990. About 230 grams of fish and chip were consumed.
Overall, it is clear that everyone I have unique choice according to their preference and the level of their income, and also in the starting years people mostly consumed fish and chips but at the end this preference altered to hamburgers.
