The chart below shows the changes in 3 different areas of crime in Manchester city from 2003-2012

The graph gives information about how many burglaries, car theft and robbery types of crimes committed in Manchester city between 2003 and 2012.

Overall, the number of burglary experienced a dramatic decline, while car theft and robbery did not change remarkably in the years provided. However, the most crimes by far were seen in burglary in 2004.

To start with, virtually 3,500 burglaries occurred in 2003, and, after a year, the figure rose noticeably peaking at about 3,750. But, it saw a sharp decrease until 2008 reaching just over 1,000. The burglaries fluctuated from 2008 to 2012 and ended with approximately 1,400.

Regarding with car theft and robbery, they were less popular type of crime at the beginning of the period. The former dropped during early 4 years at more than 2,000, and the figure grew significantly with some oscillations in the next years provided. The opposite trend was seen in the latter, around 500 robberies committed in 2003. Then, they fell ending with almost the same number in 2012.
