The given line graph illustrates information about the number of incidents in three various types, namely burglary, car theft, and robbery in a new city center within 9 years between 2003 and 2012.
Overall, it is clear that there was a downward trend in the number of burglaries, while that of car theft and robbery experienced a fluctuation. Another critical point was that the number of burglaries was the highest from 2003 to 2006 but this was overtaken by that of car theft after 2006.
In the beginning survey year, the number of burglaries accounted for the majority of roughly 3400, which was followed by a significant drop to approximately 1100 in 2008. From 2008 to 2012, the figure for burglaries slightly fluctuated in the range from 1100 to 1500. Regarding to car theft, the figure made up about 2700 and stay remain during the 2003-2005 period. However, the number of car theft dramatically decreased to above 2000 in the 2006-2008 period, before experiencing a dramatic increase after 2008 with the peak at about 2600 in 2010.
In terms of the number of robberies, it just represented a minority of 600 in 2003, but later it slowly increased to 800 in 2005. after 2005, this figure declined to approximately 500 and nearly stayed stable during the 2005 - 2012 period.
