The supplied chart outlines information of males and females in further education in The United Kingdom in 1970/1, 1980/1and 1990/1 divided between full-time and part-time study options. Data are showed in thousands.

It is obviously seen from the data that part -time education had opposite trend between two genders, when full-time education showed increasing tendency over two decades.

In 1970/71 male students have been majority of part-time education (1000), when female students had been represented just under 800. Over two decades number of female students rose to nearly 1200, when male students in further education were only about 900.

However, full-time education showed ascending trend over twenty years in both gender groups. In 1970/71 both groups had nearly 100, when in 1990/91 male as well as female had similarly about 220 full-time students.

To sum up, it is seen that female students in further education have been represented more than male students.
