The chart below shows numbers of incidents and injuries per 100 million passenger miles travelled (PMT) by transportation type in 2002.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart presents the number of incidents and injuries per 100 PMT (passenger miles travelled) the unit used in transportation studies during year 2002.

From the first look on the chart, it is clear that the injuries is heavily dependent on the indidents number and both are continously in an increasing behavior.

The incidents exihbits a larg peak in the Demand Response as the number of PMT units reached 250, and while the number of incidents in Bus and light rail types were almost the same at about 75 PMT, the other two rails heaviy and Commuter were lower than light one having a value 50 and approximately 20 PMT respectively.

The injuries on the other hand, had a similar behavior, in which Demand Response was the highst value close to 165 PMT leaving the Bus type behind it just near 65 PMT, where here the Light and Heavy rails were very close to each other at about 45 and 40 respectivly, and the least was the same type as for incidents; the Commuter rail nearly at 30 PMT.
