The bar chart illustrates the percentage of people in different age groups using the Internet each day in the UK over the time given.

Overall, the 4-year period recorded downward trends. Though the rate of people using the Internet in 2005 saw the highest percent. As highlighted in the graph, 2005 generally surpassed three years apart.

When it comes to 2003 and 2004, between the age group 16 and 54, there was wide fluctuation around 70% and 75% respectively. Then the proportion of individuals using the Internet in the UK diminished sharply to nearly 20% from 54 to 65+ years old.

In 2005, instead of varying significantly around 85% at the age 16 to 54, that former dropped dramatically by 60% between the 54 and 65+ ages group. As regard to the year 2006, the figure for people using the Internet between 16 and 24 years old reached 90%. After that from the age 25 to 54 a stability at 80% was seen in that figure, followed by an exponential decrease to 20% at the age 65+.
