The table graph illustrates how people in different age groups in the UK accessed the Internet on a daily basis between 2003 and 2006.

Overall, the number of people aged 16-24 using the Internet accounted for the highest percentage throughout the period, while people after 65 years old did not access the Internet much. Moreover, no one in the oldest group used the Internet in 2003.

The youngest age group by far had more people accessing the Internet than others, with 80% in both 2003 and 2004, after which all of them used the Internet everyday in 2005. The proportion of 25-44-year-olds accessing the Internet increased moderately from approximately 52% to 80% at the end of the period. Similar changes can be seen in the figure for people in the 45-54 age group but to a bigger extent, and this group also ended at 80% of people.

In addition, the percentage of those aged 55-64 using the Internet hovered around 30% to 37% in the first three years, then subsequently rising to nearly 50%. Finally, the share of people in the oldest group using this social software saw a slight increase, reaching just shy of 20% in the last year.
