The pie charts illustrate the proportion of the used amount of water in six continents throughout the world for three main objectives.
In Europe, most percentage of water was used for industrial purpose with 53% of all which was slightly higher than in North America at 48%. The amount of water used for agriculture in Europe and North America was 32% and 39%, respectively while it was a little different for domestic at about 14% of the total amount of water.
For the rest continents, agricultural purpose accounted the most proportion of the water used for. In South America, 71% water was used for agriculture which is slightly lower than three other lands at ranging from 81% to 88%. In these three continents, the domestic industry just had a small pie at all with just lower than 10% the total amount of water. The percentage of water for the last purpose in South America was 10% which was a little lower than South East Asia at 12%. The amount of water was used for industrial purpose in Africa and central Asia was 7% and 5%, respectively.
