Overall, it can be seen that people in almost every city, except Adelaide, preferred going to the cafe for tea or coffee rather than buying it in the last month. The largest number of people going to the cafe was in Melbourne, with the percentage of about 63 while the number of people buying fresh and instant coffee was highest in Sydney and Hobart respectively with the percentage of about 43 and 54.
Over 60 percent people in Sydney went to the cafe to have their beverages whereas those buying fresh and coffee was almost the same, revolving around 45 percent. Instant coffee was the choice of approximately 42 percent people in Melbourne; the figure was above 47% for those buying fresh coffee.
Almost same number of people bought fresh coffee in the last four weeks in Brisbane and Adelaide, with the percentage of just below 35. Those opting instant coffee were around 52% in Brisbane and 50% in Adelaide.
Lastly, in Hobart, around 38% of people chose fresh coffee and around 62 percent went cafe for their coffee or tea.
