The given bar chart illustrates buying and drinking habits of Australian residents in five cities, namely Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in the past four weeks.
Overall, Australian people preferred to have their tea and coffee at the café while it seemed that buying fresh coffee was less favourable.
A quick glance at the bar chart reveals that the percentages of people who purchased fresh coffee in Sydney and Melbourne were just below 45% while those who bought instant coffee in these city represented 45% and 48% respectively. Surprisingly, over 60% of Australian travelled to the café to buy coffee or tea.
Turning to the other set of data, in Brisbane and Adelaide, there were only about 34% of residents buying fresh coffee whereas the figures for people who either bought instant coffee or had their drink at the café were higher by around 20%. In addition to this, the proportion of buyers choosing instant coffee in Hobart was about 38% and this number was lower than that of residents buying instant coffee and drinking coffee and tea at the café by around 15% and 25%.
