It is clear that theme parks and museum/galleries were the most popular among British people. Additionally, almost half of theme parks' tourists went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that 38% of the surveyed people visited a theme parks, and 37% of them went to a museum or gallery. By contrast, historic houses and monuments were visited by only 16% of the sample, while wildlife parks and zoos were the least popular of four types of tourist attraction, with only 9% of visitors.
In the theme parks sector, 47% of the surveyed tourists visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The second most popular theme park was Alton Towers, with 17% of visitors, followed by Pleasureland in Southport, with 16% of the sample. Finally, the figures for ChessingtonnWorld of Adventure and Legoland in Windsor were lowest, at 10% each.
