The chart illustrates people in the Britain spent their time making telephone calls in three kinds of list over the period from 1995 to 2002. From an overall perspective, national and international (fixed line) and mobiles (all calls) shared identical increasing pattern over this period while local calls reached a peak in the middle of period.

To be more specific, at the beginning of surveyed time, the statistic data showed a big gap among three of categories. The amount of minutes of local calls in the UK was the highest at just over 70 billion minutes. By contrast, the meagre number of mobiles witnessed at approximate three billion minutes. And another line is national and international accounted a half amount of local calls. Then, all of them increased slightly the subsequent five years. Entering three years at the end of period, national and international experienced the precious trend while the number of minutes of mobiles fairly rose up. Especially, the local calls have reached a peak at approximately 90 billions which were followed by a decrease to cut off the gap between three kinds of telephone calls
