The chart illustrates consumption of three kinds of fast food by teenagers in Mauritius from 1985 to 2015.
The given line graph represents the number of hamburgers, Pizza and Fried Chicken that teenagers in Mauritius consumed between 1985 and 2015.
What stands out from the graph is that while the consumption of hamburgers and fried chicken witnessed an upward trend, the opposite trend was for Pizza. Obviously, Mauritian teenagers' favorite fast-food changed significantly.
In 1985, Pizza was most eaten by teenagers in Mauritius with 60 times, followed by hamburgers (10 times) and fried chicken (5 times) which was below one tenth comparing with pizza. The period surveyed experienced a dramatic drop and became the least popular of the three in 2015.
With reference to Fried chicken and Hamburgers, after climbing up significantly in the first 20 years, fried chicken experienced a stability and then surged slightly to about 63 time in 2015. Over the past 30 years hamburgers saw a high jump and gained its popularity to be the most favorite kind of fast food among Mauritian teenagers with over 70 times which was 7 times higher than that of the first year in the last year.
